NTT DATA President: We Do Not Expect Major Surprises at Apple's Conference Today
SadaNews - Hani Noufal, the regional technology president for the Middle East and Africa at "NTT DATA," stated that Apple is not expected to surprise investors or consumers with entirely new products at its conference this evening, Tuesday.
He explained that the price of the new iPhone 17 Air remains the key factor that investors are waiting for.
Noufal added, in an interview with "Al Arabiya Business," that Apple's current strategy is focused on buying time and highlighting design aspects rather than offering revolutionary innovation.
He pointed out that customers are eager to see whether the company will maintain its product prices or raise them to support revenues.
He clarified that artificial intelligence poses the biggest challenge for Apple, which is why it relies on partnerships with "Google" or Chinese companies instead of internal development.
All eyes are on Apple's 2025 conference today, where the company will unveil the iPhone 17 Air in its first completely new design in years.
The phone features a thinner body and a 6.6-inch display, but it suffers from weaknesses such as battery capacity and a single rear camera, while competing phones are moving towards larger batteries and multiple lenses.
Although the device's price will be in a mid-range between the regular iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Pro, its specifications do not match either of them, making it a less practical option for the majority of consumers.
